Dr Philip von Brockdorff, Head, Department of Economics is one of a number of speakers at the Public Hearing organised by the Economic and Monetary Union and Economic and Social Cohesion (ECO) at the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC).
The title of the Public Hearing, which will be held on Thursday 4 April 2019, is 'Towards a Stronger International Role of the Euro'. Dr von Brockdorff is the Rapporteur of the EESC's Opinion which follows the Communication from the Commission to the European Parliament, the European Council (Euro Summit), the Council, the European Central Bank, the European Economic and Social Committee and the Committee of the Regions. Ms Charmaine Portelli, from the Department of Economics, shall also be attending the Public Hearing.
