On Saturday 11 May 2019, the Department of Moral Theology within the Faculty of Theology (UM) organised a Bioethics Symposium in collaboration with CareMalta. The academic event took place in Villa Messina, Rabat.
The keynote lecture on 'Christian Anthropology and Bioethics: Presuppositions and Implications for Elderly Care' was delivered by Prof. Antonio Autiero from Münster University, Germany. President Emeritus Marie Louise Coliero Preca delivered a welcoming address, while Rev. Dr Ray Zammit presented a paper on 'Do we need Bioethics?'
The symposium was concluded by the Head of Department, Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Agius who revealed that a series of publications that brings together academic papers by Master’s graduates in bioethics will soon be launched.
