Applying with a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) portfolio.
You may apply for an M.A TESOL given that you possess the following:
- Level 4 qualification in English
You hold an adequate language proficiency to complete assignments and deliver presentations in good standard.
- Level 5 qualification in TESOL
You have acquired a sound level of knowledge of teaching methodology
- Evidence of annual continuing professional development (min. 10 hrs/year)
Your knowledge and skills have been updated and are in-tune with recent developments in the field, with an aspiration to lifelong learning whilst willing to adapt thought practices to the teaching of English.
- 2,000 English language classroom-teaching hours
You possess experience of at least 2,000 English language teaching hours.
- Up-to-date teacher portfolio
You are able to provide a portfolio displaying your professional growth as a TESOL practitioner, from changes of attitudes, beliefs and practices.
- Evidence of reflective practice abilities
Ability to engage in reflective practice to critically inquire about their attitudes, beliefs and practices
- Reference letters authored by Directors of Studies or Trainers
Ability to provide a somewhat subjective and intimate assessment of yourself (applicant) in a professional demeanour
- Selection of assignments completed as part of a Level 5 qualification in TESOL
Have completed several assignments with high standard proving your ability to write for academic purposes.
