A total of EUR 2300 was collected during this year’s edition of Pink October, that took place on Thursday 28 October.
Students and staff were invited to participate and contribute towards this initiative. Apart from fund-raising, the Dental & Blood Mobile Units were also on campus on the day.
Those gathered for the event were welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Alfred Vella. Ms Jeanesse Scerri, reading for her Ph.D. in Breast Cancer Research, together with a student and cancer survivor Ms Martina Fenech gave a short speech. A brief address by Mrs Michelle Muscat, Chairperson, Marigold Foundation followed.

- the University Chaplain and his team who collected EUR 730 selling hot dogs
- the Food Faculty by Catermax who collected EUR 224, and
- the Faculty for Social Wellbeing who collected EUR 100 during their bake sale activity.
