This included the development and launch of an undergraduate study-unit: Traditional Chinese Medicine in Modern Physiotherapy, and the continued support for the Master in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Culture.
The bridging of health care cultures contributes to critical thinking in students and enriches their options for professional practice. One example is acupuncture, which may be used to treat many
disorders, such as persistent low back pain, knee osteoarthritis and postoperative pain. The Department of Physiotherapy strives to provide its undergraduate students with opportunities to engage with different and challenging health concepts to empower them within the context of an ever changing health care world.
