On 15 January 2020, Rev. Dr Charlò Camilleri, O.Carm, lecturer at the Department of Moral Theology within the Faculty of Theology, participated in the closed expert meeting Atelier Jean de Saint-Samson at the Archives Départementales d'Ille-et-Vilaine in Rennes, France. The Archives contain the fonds Grands Carmes and the fonds Jean de Saint-Samson containing the 17th century original manuscript writings of Jean de Saint-Samson. The Atelier meeting was coordinated by Professor François Trémolières from the University of Rennes.
Rev. Dr Charlò Camilleri presented the editorial project Les Oeuvres Complètes de Jean de Saint-Samson and the newly published volume 8/10 with a paper entitled La vie mystique dans les Lettres du Vén. Jean de Saint-Samson. In February 2019, Camilleri had been appointed Project Editor for the publication of eleven volumes containing a critical edition of the mystical writings of this important Carmelite author in the history of Spirituality.
During the Atelier meeting, other experts in the field from France and the Netherlands presented the following papers: Mystique et pratique.
