Despite a very limited programme of events fully respecting physical distancing measures in the current pandemic, the annual Christmas on Campus activities organised by the University of Malta managed to raise €5,000.
The sum was split evenly between Dar tal-Providenza and L-Istrina.
Among the activities held throughout December 2020, carrying the theme ‘Make this a Real Christmas’ were the selling of poinsettias, a Park and Donate at University initiative, a Plant and Donate initiative a Car Wash Morning, a Christmas novena and a Wear your Red Sweater to Work Day.
For the first time ever, members of the University of Malta community were able to send in their donations via SMS.
Speaking at the Opening of Christmas on Campus 2020, University of Malta Chaplain, Fr Patrick Magro, said this latest edition served to “help celebrate Christmas in a more authentic way – by sharing what we have with others”.
The Organising Committee of Christmas on Campus wishes to thank everyone who helped make this special edition a huge success.
