A total of 35 postgraduate students from 15 countries have enrolled in this year’s Master’s of Arts in Diplomatic Studies and Master of Diplomacy degree programmes at the Mediterranean Academy of Diplomatic Studies (Medac) at the University of Malta.

This is one of the largest ever intakes of students on Medac’s annual master’s programme, which focuses on international relations, international history, international economics, international law and diplomacy.

The students participating in the one-year full-time course come from Algeria, China, Egypt, France, The Gambia, Georgia, Jordan, Latvia, Libya, Macedonia, Malta, The Netherlands, Palestine, Tanzania and the UK.

This is the 28th edition of the programme offered by Medc since it was set up in 1990. There are more than 750 Medac alumni, many of whom are diplomats representing their countries while others have pursued different professional careers all over the world.

For the eighth year running, Medac also welcomed students pursuing the dual degree in conflict resolution and Mediterranean security, offered by the University of Malta and George Mason University in Washington DC.
