The University of Malta will be participating in this year's Plastic Caps Campaign which entails staff and students to collect plastic caps.
The plastic caps are collected and sent for recycling and in return a donation is given to Istrina. The more caps we collect the more will be donated! In the year 2014 GreenPak collected 21,824.50 kg of plastic caps and in return they donated €15,000 to Istrina!
Only PLASTIC caps [Soft drinks plastic bottle caps, water plastic bottle caps, detergent plastic bottle caps, liquid soap plastic bottle caps (including nozzles) & hygiene plastic bottle caps] can be collected. Please note that GreenPak cannot accept metal caps as they will cause damage to the machinery in the facility
The plastic caps are collected for free and will be collected in December.
At the end of the campaign (December 2015) GreenPak will let us know the total weight of plastic caps that we would have collected, and will also provide us with a Participation Certificate.
All we need to do is collect plastic caps!
It would be appreciated if a person in every building of floor takes it up to collect these plastic caps. These plastic caps are then to be forwarded to Ms Tiziana Gatt by latest Thursday 3 December 2015, at the following address:
