What is a Walking Ambassador? A walking ambassador is a volunteer trained to lead walks that inspire, connect, and inform the community. A catalyst for change vis-á-vis our countries future transport challenges.
What is the commitment? It's really up to you. You may be called upon to give occasional advice or attend the odd meeting. But in effect you're on duty whenever you're walking. It's leading by example.
What are the advantages of having a Walking Ambassador?
Students become physically fitter
University natural environment becomes healthier
Social connections improve when more people are out walking
Thinking of volunteering? This is a voluntary post with a chance to help and guide the University on making walking safer and more accessible.
