1. Joint Call for Proposals on Microplastics in the Marine Environment
Local partners in eligible project consortia will be eligible to apply for funding.

2. MarTERA transnational call for collaborative research projects
Project proposals are welcomed in the field of Environmentally friendly maritime technologies; Development of novel materials and structures; Sensors, automation, monitoring and observations; Advanced manufacturing and production and Safety and security.

3. Blue BioEconomy Cofund (call will open later on in December)
The goal of this co-funded call is to identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from Blue BioEconomy.

4. PRIMA - Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean area - (call will open later on in December)
The goal of PRIMA is to build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean Area.

Erasmus+ 2019 call for proposals
The Erasmus+ 2019 call for proposals has now been published! Erasmus+ is the main funding programme for Education of the EU. The programme is split into 3 Key Actions:
Key Action 1:
Mobility of Individuals in the field of Education, Training and Youth
These projects include student and staff mobility within programme (EU countries) and between programme and partner countries (non-EU countries). Annual proposals are handled by the UM international office, whereby staff are invited to apply for teaching and training mobilities.
Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters Degrees
These are Masters programmes delivered in partnership with Institutions from at least 3 EU countries. Funding is available for course coordination as well as for scholarships (75% of scholarships must be allocated to students from non-EU countries.

Strategic Partnerships in the field of Education, Training and Youth
These support innovation in the sector as well as joint initiatives to promote cooperation, peer learning and the sharing of experience.

These tackle skills gap and ensure a better alignment of vocational education and training with labour market needs. There are opportunities to modernise VET, exchange knowledge and best practices, encourage working abroad, and increase the recognition of qualifications.

Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education and Youth
To support the modernisation, accessibility, and internationalisation of higher education and to support the development of youth work, non-formal learning, and volunteer work, as well as promote non-formal learning opportunities with Partner (non-EU) Countries.

Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA)
Would you like to learn more about the revamped Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions? Searching for bottom-up research funding and host a post-doc researcher? Are you a research institution/company looking for partnership with academia in third countries as well as industry? The following call for proposals are currently open:
MSCA Innovative Training Networks (ITN): This programme is designed to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative early-stage researchers, able to face current and future challenges and to convert knowledge and ideas into products and services for economic and social benefit. ITN will raise excellence and structure research and doctoral training in Europe, extending the traditional academic research training setting, incorporating elements of Open Science and equipping researchers with the right combination of research-related and transferable competences. It will provide enhanced career perspectives in both the academic and non-academic sectors through international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility combined with an innovation-oriented mind-set.

MSCA Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE): The RISE scheme promotes international and cross-sector collaboration through exchanging research and innovation staff, and sharing knowledge and ideas from research to market (and vice-versa). The scheme fosters a shared culture of research and innovation that welcomes and rewards creativity and entrepreneurship and helps to turn creative ideas into innovative products, services or processes.
