The European & Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership (EDCTP) aims to accelerate the development of new or improved drugs, vaccines, microbicides and diagnostics against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria as well as other poverty-related and neglected infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on phase II and III clinical trials.
A public consultation on the implementation of the first three years of the EDCTP2 programme is being held. The public consultation is an essential element of the first interim evaluation of the EDCTP2 programme that complements the work of an independent expert group.
According to the Commission Smart Regulation guidelines, the public consultation is published first on the Commission website 'Your Voice in Europe', and then on a specific website for the public consultation of EDCTP2 interim evaluation. The consultation will remain open until 15 October 2016.
