The EURADIA Summer Meeting is being organised to engage research funding organisations, policy makers, industry, people with diabetes, scientists and clinicians in considering the unmet challenges still existing in diabetes research and the ways in which these can be addressed. The programme will particularly focus upon priorities for scientific innovation and why the long-term economics of diabetes and its impact on individuals and societies should be considered when developing sustainable funding and support for research. The programme will feature talks by world-renowned diabetes experts, people with diabetes, and policy makers. There will be presentations followed by panel discussions and questions from the audience.
The meeting is mainly aimed at individuals from research policy and funding institutions, industry, patient organisations, and academic science and health professions. The meeting will be held at The University Foundation in Brussels, Belgium, on Wednesday 13 July 2016 from 08:30 until 17:30. Registration is obligatory but free of charge. The deadline for registrations is Friday 1 July.
Registration for the event and the draft provisional programme are available online.
