The Wild Card of EIT Health on antimicrobial resistance and diagnostics with artificial intelligence and big data is now open.
EIT Health is a consortium of more than 50 core partners and 90 associate partners from leading businesses, research centres and universities from across 14 EU countries. The consortium receives funding from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology - EIT (around 33 million in 2017 and projected to increase in the next years) which they need to complement with own resources (3 times as much as the EIT funding). EIT Health aims to increase the competitiveness of European industry, improve the quality of life of Europe’s citizens and the sustainability of healthcare systems.
Wild Card is a new initiative, pioneered by EIT Health, to identify and support innovative and high-risk ideas with the potential to transform an area within European healthcare. They are looking for truly ground-breaking ideas and projects that address healthcare challenges and improve the health outcomes for Europe’s citizens.
Focusing on applied research, entrepreneurial ideas and innovative thinking, they are seeking ideas and projects that address one of two challenge areas:

EIT Health is looking for the best and the brightest talent in Europe. This is a call for individuals or teams of individuals who are not incorporated as a company nor part of a larger institution.
