High-performance computing and simulation are strongly advancing fields in the scientific community. The University of Malta is strengthening its links with the Julich Supercomputing Centre which provides a high-class High Performance Computing (HPC) infrastructure and fosters young scientists willing to enter this domain.
A ten-week guest summer student program is being offered to students of ICT, Engineering and Science. The opportunity will include work and research within one of the world’s most powerful HPC environments. The participants will gain access to the latest hardware architectures and cutting-edge simulation techniques and will have an expense allowance.
Successful candidates will have intensive and individual supervision and will be assigned to an active researcher for the duration of the program. Students who are highly motivated to combine theoretical research with parallel computing techniques are invited to apply online on: www.fz-juelich.de/ias/jsc/gsp
Application deadline: 24 March 2019
An excellent letter of recommendation is also required. Terms and Conditions apply. For further information, contact Dr Ing. Nicholas J. Sammut MNE Department, Faculty of ICT via email
