Scholarships offered by The Government of the People’s Republic of China for Postgraduate or Undergraduate Studies in any discipline 2020/2021
(for Maltese Citizens only)
The Government of the People’s Republic of China is offering 3 scholarships for the academic year of 2019/20 for Maltese students to study as graduate, undergraduate or visiting scholars at Chinese Universities. The expense of international transport should be borne by the students themselves.
All the qualified applicants should log on www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or www.campuschina.org to apply online. Online applications and the corresponding application documents should be submitted to the Chinese Embassy by not later than 14 February, 2020. Enclosed are the reference materials which could also be downloaded from the website www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchina or www.campuschina.org.
A copy of all the application forms, as indicated above, should be also submitted to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion, Valletta from 08:30 to 12:00 noon and 13:00 to 15:00 by the same deadline of 14 February, 2020. The documents indicated below should also be submitted to the Ministry’s scholarship section:
(a) a Curriculum Vitae
(b) a copy of the degree(s) obtained
(c) a University/Faculty/School transcript detailing results and grades obtained
(d) MFTP Application Form (foreignaffairs.gov.mt/en/Pages/Scholarships.aspx)
(e) two printed copies of Application Form For Chinese Government Scholarship together with Foreigner Physical Examination Form
(f) applicants for graduate programs or senior scholar programs must submit two letters of recommendation in Chinese or English from professors or associate professors.
Successful candidates may be required to enter into a contract to serve the Government or the Private Sector of Malta upon completion.
Applications from Government and Parastatal employees and from the Private Sector will not be considered unless recommended by their Head of Department/Parastatal Organisation/employer respectively.
Late applications will not be considered. The Board’s decision will be final.
