Starting today at 13:00, and spanning until tomorrow, TEPSA’s Pre-Presidency Conference takes off in Paris, co-hosted by the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po. Since Pre-Presidency Conferences (PPCs) are the flagship activities of the TEPSA Network, we are encouraging all our members to join our social media campaign during the conference. The agenda can be accessed through the following link.
The respective dates and times are as follows:
- 9 December 2021 - 13:00-17:30
- 10 December 2021 - 09:00-11:00
These conferences take place biannually in the capital city of the country which currently holds the Presidency of the Council of the EU prior to the beginning of its mandate. For the upcoming France’s Presidency, together with Sciences Po, TEPSA has gathered a group of high-level panellists to speak in plenary and parallel sessions about current EU affairs, including but not limited to:
- the European Green Deal
- European solidarity
- Digitalisation
- Post-pandemic EU
- the Conference on the Future of Europe
- Enlargement
- European strategic autonomy
Most importantly, during the PPC, TEPSA will present to French officials the recommendations (accessible here) from the members of its network to the incoming French Presidency. This is a crucial part of the PPC as it involves practitioners and academics together with civil society and media actors to discuss the agenda and challenges and shape a European public sphere.
TEPSA Pre-Presidency conferences constitute a major platform for communication and exchange between policy-makers and academics. For this reason, you are kindly encouraged to post tag and retweet content about the PPC during today and tomorrow’s panels. This can be done through the following social media channels:
