PRIMA - Partnership for R&I in the Mediterranean - facilitates collaborative R&I in the areas of Water Management, Farming systems and Agro-Food Chains.
PRIMA operates under two main lines of funding - Section 1 and Section 2.
Section 1 Calls are funded directly by the European Commission.
Section 2 Calls are funded by the countries participating in PRIMA. Funding for Section 2 PRIMA calls in Malta is provided by the Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST)
where an amount of up to €500,000 is available.
Pre-proposal submission deadline - 22 March 2022 at 17:00 CET.
Please note that it is the Principal Investigator who is responsible for submitting the application.
Draft Applications including Budget in the call template should reach the RSSD office, putting the Project Support office in copy, by not later than 28 February 2022 (UM coordinator) and
3 March 2022 (UM partner) to ensure processing in time.
Finalised Applications and Budget need to reach the RSSD office, putting the Project Support office in copy, by not later than 15 March 2022 to ensure processing in time.
PRIMA proposal writing assistance scheme: Applicants who wish to coordinate a project addressing any of the Section 1 or Section 2 topics, may engage a service who can support them through the pre- / full proposal writing and/or submission stages.
Submission Deadline: 22 February 2022 (Section 1) and 1 March 2022 (Section 2).
Draft Applications including 3 quotations should reach the RSSD office, putting the Project Support office in copy, by not later than 8 February 2022 (Section 1) and 15 February 2022 (Section 2) to ensure processing time.
Finalised Applications need to reach the RSSD office, putting the Project Support office in copy, by not later than 15 February 2022 (Section 1) and 22 February 2022 (Section 2) to ensure processing in time.
Note that it is compulsory to have 3 quotations at application stage and applicants should issue a request for quotations following these guidelines.
Please note that a draft application always needs to be sent in advance of the finalised application in order to allow time for reviewing.
Applications for which draft have not been submitted will not be accepted.
In order to ensure the quality of proposals submitted and equitableness to all applications, proposals received beyond these dates will not be processed.
