“Understanding the present and what trends in society are… can help us to predict the outcomes of our design proposals for the future better than we do now”- Lang, 1987
By considering the health and wellbeing of the population at large, it is possible to reduce the uncertainty of architects, interior designers and urban planners/designers while making decisions on users’ needs during the design process. Indeed, it is also possible to improve their designs by taking account of the environmental research results and incorporating the findings to the design proposals.
The aim of our study is to draw a relationship between the behaviour of people and their built environment to provide a local context of the meaning of place attachment and sense of place and how this affects your general health. Your participation in this study would help contribute to a better understanding of the link between the cultural and social identity of the population and the architectural style of the physical fabric of housing in Malta. Any data collected from this research will be used solely for purposes of this study.
We would like to invite you to contribute to the survey by filling in and submitting the questionnaire.
We thank you in advance for your help with this research.
