Following the successful research Symposium held in May 2021, the Department of Gender and Sexualities within the Faculty for Social Wellbeing, with the support of the Malta LGBTIQ Rights Movement (MGRM), the Human Rights Directorate and the Institute for European Studies (University of Malta) is pleased to announce the third Research Symposium on LGBTIQ issues to be held on the 16 May 2023.
Call for Abstracts:
The main aim of the symposium is to bring together under-graduate and postgraduate students as well as academics, from various departments and faculties, who are interested in research in LGBTIQ topics.
The research symposium will take place on the evening of 16 May 2023 as part of the IDAHOBIT activities. Research studies that have been finalised within the last five years are eligible for the symposium. Abstracts of not more than 300 words should be sent by email by 13 February 2023. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the submission by 13 March 2023. Papers from the proceedings of the Symposium will be published. Selected participants will be expected to give a 15-minute presentation of their research and submit a paper of 3,000 words by the date of the Symposium.
