Xjenza Malta is glad to announce the launch of two support schemes designed to help Malta-based eligible entities to engage with the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA) Programme. These schemes aim to foster collaboration, knowledge exchange, and research advancements in PRIMA’s key focus areas: water management, farming systems, and the agro-food value chain.
- PRIMA Networking Support Scheme (NET2PRIMA)
This scheme offers financial support for attending PRIMA-related events, including workshops, networking sessions, and brokerage events. It’s an excellent opportunity to strengthen your connections and explore potential collaborations in PRIMA’s focus areas.
- Funding: Covers participation in events organised by the PRIMA Foundation, National Contact Points, and other key partners.
- Application Deadline: Applications must be submitted at least 20 working days before the event.

2. PRIMA Training and Mobility Award (PTMA)
The PTMA scheme provides funding for in-person training, strategic visits, and knowledge-transfer seminars or workshops held in Malta. It aims to enhance collaboration across the Mediterranean region while supporting the submission of proposals for PRIMA-related calls.
- Funding: Up to €8,000 per project.
- Application Deadlines: The call is open throughout the year with the following cut-off dates:
- 17 March 2025 at 23:59 CET
- 16 June 2025 at 23:59 CET
- 6 October 2025 at 23:59 CET (final deadline)
