New year, more stories to be told. We’re honoured that you want Newspoint to be part of that journey.

We’d like to share an important update about the Newspoint Submission Form that will apply to all future article submissions.

What’s new?

Before submitting an article, endorsement is now required.

Who needs to endorse your submission?

Please obtain endorsement based on your role:

  • Academics: From Dean or Director
  • Deans / Directors: From Rector or one of the Pro-Rectors
  • Research Support Officers: From the Principal Investigator of the relevant project
  • Administrative/Technical Staff: From Your respective Director
  • UM Administrative Directors: From the University Secretary

How do you provide endorsement?

Simply include the endorser’s name and email address in the Newspoint Submission Form.

Once the article is published:

  • The endorser will be cc’d in the publication email
  • The endorsement detail will be logged in a shared Newspoint team Google Sheet

This enhancement is part of our ongoing effort to maintain high-quality, well-verified content on Newspoint. The update is also reflected in the revised Standard Operating Procedure XCO-001-05: Publishing on Newspoint.
