Colin Fitz currently hosts the Campus Drive weekday afternoon show between 16:00 and 18:00 on Campus 103.7, providing fantastic company to listeners who enjoy the flow of the music, punctuated only by useful information or one of Colin's traditional witty quips. With a playlist featuring the greatest rock and pop hits ever recorded, and Colin's friendly company, it's no wonder that the show has seen a steady growth in listenership and fan engagement.
Colin can also be heard on the weekly series That 80s Show, along with co-presenter Aleks Farrugia, a popular author and university lecturer. The programme explores the different legacies left by that turbulent decade from both a local and international perspective.
Having presented two other history-based series together in the past, Aleks and Colin make a good team, moving seamlessly between serious observation, cultural references and amusing anecdotes that have become their trade-mark. Their shows have proved to be particularly popular among Campus listeners.
For two summers in a row, he also co-hosted the Campus breakfast show alongside Coryse Borg, which also proved to be a hit. One can access some of Colin's previous Campus 103.7 series via the station's website. These include Għal Fejn Illejla (the story of Maltese nightlife since the 60s), Minn Għajnejn Barranin (interviews with foreign residents), Middle Age Exposed, That 90s Show and Colin Fitz Jistaqsi (interviews with interesting people).
Boasting over 30-years' experience as a broadcaster as well as an actor and event host, Colin feels he has found his natural home at the University's radio station. He hopes to continue spreading the creed of quality broadcasting by producing and presenting many more programmes that intrigue, captivate and entertain an ever-increasing audience for a long time to come.
