| The 5th IP Mediation Conference is back in hybrid format on 16–17 October 2025, organised by The European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), together with the Malta Commerce Department. This year's conference focuses on 'Unlocking the Power of Mediation: A Pathway to Efficient and Sustainable IP Dispute Resolution', and will explore how mediation and other ADR mechanisms can resolve Intellectual Property (IP) disputes more effectively and sustainably. These methods play a critical role in enhancing competitiveness in the IP-intensive economy while fostering stronger business relationships and reducing the need for costly litigation. Join leading international experts and key stakeholders to discuss the latest developments and emerging trends in IP mediation. You'll have the opportunity to network with representatives from National and Regional IP offices, EU Institutions and ADR centres, as well as Users of the International IP systems, Policymakers, Judges, Practitioners and Experts from industry and academia. As the IP landscape continues to evolve rapidly, mediation is emerging to be an increasingly valuable tool for efficient and sustainable dispute resolution. This year’s conference is particularly significant, as it marks a key milestone in the initiative to strengthen the role of mediation within the EU IP system, following the launch of the EUIPO Mediation Centre. If you're interested in attending the conference online at no charge, please register online. Those who prefer to attend in person may register at this link.
