UM’s Finance Office to Host Bake Sale in Aid of Puttinu Cares Foundation

The Finance Office at the University of Malta will be organising a fundraising activity in support of the Puttinu Cares Foundation on Tuesday 24 March 2026. The event will take place during the workday under the Gateway Building Arch at the university campus.

The fundraising initiative will take the form of a bake sale, offering a variety of homemade treats and refreshments for staff, students, and visitors.

Items available will include traditional Maltese ftajjar, seasonal figolli, protein balls, cake balls, brownies, as well as tea and coffee. All proceeds from the sale will go directly towards supporting the work of Puttinu Cares.

Puttinu Cares is a well-known Maltese children’s cancer support group that was established in October 2002. The foundation was created from a strong desire to provide a holistic approach of care for families with children suffering from cancer. Over the years, the organisation has become a pillar of support for many families, offering both practical assistance and emotional support during extremely challenging times.

Through initiatives like this bake sale, the University of Malta community continues to demonstrate its commitment to supporting charitable causes and making a positive difference in the lives of others.
