The 9th European Conference on Epilepsy and Society is being held in Malta from 18th to 20th March 2004.  This is a unique conference that allows direct interactions between lay organisations for people with epilepsy, and the health care professionals and neurologists involved in the treatment of people with epilepsy.  This two-day conference will be held in conjunction with the 2004 National Epilepsy Conference of the Caritas Malta Epilepsy Association and the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, University of Malta.

The theme of the conference will be "Focusing on Change". Discussions will be held on how change can come about with regards to the management and treatment of epilepsy, with the sharing the experiences of people with epilepsy and highlighting developments in care and how to work for change.  The conference is being held at the newly refurbished Dolmen Hotel Resort in Bugibba.
