'AN EVENING WITH WALTER MICALLEF U L-HBIEB'
HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY GOZO CENTRE

The central courtyard of the University of Malta Gozo Centre was the perfect venue for "An Evening of songs with Walter Micallef u l-Hbieb" organised by the University Gozo Centre. The event took place on Friday 20th August 2004.

Mr Walter Micallef introduced the evening. He presented the members of the band which is formed by himself (Guitar & Voice), Paul Camilleri (Harmonica), Renzo Spiteri (Percussion), Eric Badge (Bass), Jes Psaila (Aquistic Guitar), Albert Grazia (Accordian) and coordinated by Mr Steve Borg.

This was followed by the first part of the programme in which several songs were performed including 'In-Nofsinhar', 'Hrafa u Erezija', 'Gebla Niexfa', 'Nemmen', 'Dik il-Povra Kreatura', 'Iz-Zmien', and 'Tard Wisq'.

After the interval, the programme continued with the following songs:
'San Blas', 'Il-Kejl', 'Ma Temminix', 'L-Ahhar Sekondi', 'M'jien Xejn', 'Siehbi fil-Cupboard tal-Kcina' u 'Wara l-Hajt'.

"An Evening of songs with Walter Micallef u l-Hbieb", was received with great enthusiasm by the big audience present. Among the guests were the Hon. Giovanna Debono and Professor Lino Briguglio, Director of the Centre.

The annual activity organised by the University Gozo Centre is becoming more popular among the Gozitans, Maltese and even tourists.
