Carl Caruana graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malta in 2016. During the year 2016/17 Carl followed a Masters Degree in Engineering at University of Malta, specializing in Internal Combustion Engines, specifically in mechanical friction determination. Carl Caruana has recently started reading for a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, also regarding IC engines, with particular focus on mechanical friction and transient heat transfer in a pressurised motored engine. Mr. Caruana was also active in Formula SAE between the years 2016 and 2017 with the University of Malta racing team who competed at track Riccardo Paletti, Varano Italy. During the year 2017, Carl Caruana also took part together with three fellow researchers and his supervisor, Prof. Ing. Mario Farrugia in an engine simulation competition by ESTECO Academy, Aprilia Racing and Gamma Technologies, who qualified within the first thirteen teams out of a total of ninety-one teams. Carl Caruana started teaching A-level Physics and Introduction to Computer Systems and Programming in 2017 to international students willing to join undergraduate degrees in Science, Engineering, Building Services and ICT.
