Ing. Damien Gatt has been employed with the University of Malta Institute for Sustainable Energy (since September 2016) as a Research Officer focusing on the Interreg Europe project entitled ZEROCO2. He was previously employed with the Sustainable Energy and Water Conservation Unit (SEWCU) within the office of the Prime minister, where he was responsible for various renewable energy and energy retrofitting projects. Damien is a warranted mechanical engineer having graduating in 2008, from the University of Malta. In 2015, heÂ graduated with anÂ MSc with distinction in Sustainable Energy from the University of Malta. His main areas of interest are the modelling, design and optimization of energy efficient buildings and HVAC. He is a qualified ISO 50002 Energy Auditor and Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) Assessor.
