I am a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the University of Malta, teaching Transfusion Medicine and Immunology to Medical students and Dental Students.
Entered Transfusion Specialty training in 2007 as a Basic Specialist Trainee. Whilst most of Training took place in Malta, I have had some exposure at Sanquin in The Netherlands, at the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service, and spent a year at the Irish Blood Transfusion Service, in Dublin. I have also successfully read the M.Sc. course in Transfusion and Transplantation Sciences (Bristol). I was awarded the Certificate of Fellow of the Malta College of Pathologists (Transfusion Medicine) in 2016, and formally finished training in November 2016. I am currently working in the position of Resident Specialist, Transfusion Medicine, since May 2017.
