Nicole Bugeja (Ph.D.) is a Public Speaking and Performance Coach, a theatre performer and artistic director, and an academic researcher and tutor. Since 2003 she has trained with the research theatre company Icarus Performance Project (Malta), and has also practised with international research theatre masters including in Italy, Poland and Sweden.

In 2013, she graduated with a Ph.D. focused on Actor Training. Having recently returned from the UK where she was Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies at the University of Chester, she now runs her professional practice of Coaching in Public Speaking and Performance. She complements her practice through her role as Visiting Lecturer within the School of Performing Arts at the University of Malta, where she keeps researching embodied practices.

Bugeja delivers both theoretical and practical courses within the Theatre Studies Department. Her academic interests include, among others, twentieth-century actor training and performance, intercultural theatre realities, and contemplative studies. She has delivered academic papers in various contexts, including Malta, Montreal, Norway and UK.
