She graduated from FME BUT in Brno, majoring in Automotive and Transportation Engineering, specializing in internal combustion engines. After graduating, she began his professional career at VUEZ Brno as an assistant researcher, later working as a researcher. After the VUEZ merged with IBZKG Brno, she continued to work as a researcher in the field of turbine innovation. Thanks to her experience in research and industry, she successfully contested an interview for the position of a lecturer at the Department of Solid Mechanics, FME BUT, where she worked until April 1994. In 1997 she was appointed an assistant at the University of Malta, Department of Mechanical Engineering. That open the way to continue her further study as an external distance student, and after defending her thesis, she obtained the PhD from FME BUT, in the field of Applied Mechanics, with a specialization in Biomechanics.
