Adrian Francalanza, from the University of Malta, participated in the STEM section of the festival and presented a talk titled \u201cThe API Economy: Past, Present and Future\u201d on how Application Programming Interfaces have democratized software production and lowered barriers to entry in many fields of the economy, from financial services, healthcare provision, and the hospitality industry.
