Launched in October 2012, the project named 'EX-MMIM' (Exploiting Multi-Material Micro Injection Moulding for Enhancing Manufacturing Competitiveness) has the intent of contributing towards high value added manufacturing in Malta.
The main objectives of the EX-MMIM project is to generate and transfer new knowledge between academia and industry on the following three facets of multi-material injection moulding:
- micro part design
- mould design and manufacture and
- multi-material moulding process itself.
