EuCAP 2019 conference that took place in Poland, was an opportunity for me to present some of the research work currently being carried out at the University of Malta by the Electromagnetics research group. In this work, the dielectric properties of 0.1 mol/L NaCl as a function of temperature was investigated. This work will be of particular importance when conducting measurements on biological tissues at supraphysiologic temperatures. This could be useful in applications like hyperthermia and microwave ablation.

The work was well received and a number of discussions took place after the presentation. This presentation was made possible through the funding of the MyWAVE COST action CA 17115. This event will serve as a basis for future work and collaborations.

Julian is with the University of Malta.
