Please\ntry to book your flights as soon as possible and as economic as possible \u2013\nflights to Lisbon tend to be very expensive, even though accommodation tends to\nbe cheaper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Meals,\ncoffee breaks and dinner during our meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will be\norganising a dinner for you all on the 13th<\/sup> of January, so if you\nare attending it (whether you are eligible for reimbursement or not) please\nfill in the doodle as soon as possible (as this may affect the restaurant\nchoice due to limited capacity). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coffee-breaks\nwill be offered to all participants (whether you are eligible for reimbursement\nor not). We will also have a catering service for our lunches (Monday and\nTuesday). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\ncontribution of up to 60\u20ac may be<\/strong>\nasked towards the cost of the meals which you will be reimbursed with your OTR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.<\/strong>      <\/strong> Venue for our meeting \u2013 how to\nreach us and nearby hotels<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The\nabove meetings will be held at the Faculty of Science in the University of\nLisbon (Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias da Universidade de Lisboa), building C1, Floor\n3, Auditorium of FCiencias.ID (<\/strong>https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/RaySDSFW1Z4utmXe9<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong>. The area is very well connected\nby public transport: closest metro stops are \u201cCidade Universit\u00e1ria\u201d (yellow\nline) and \u201cCampo Grande\u201d (green+yellow line), several bus connections, and the\nairport is less than 5km away (with metro-red line, bus, aerobus and taxi\/Uber\/Kapten\/Bolt\nconnections). For metro, tram, suburban train and bus you need to buy a\nreusable “Lisboa Viva” card (0.50\u20ac) and can top it up with any credit\n(“zapping” option, from 3\u20ac) and use any of these 4 means of\ntransport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are\nseveral hotels nearby (within a 20-30 minute walk distance):

\nVIP Grand Lisboa Hotel and Spa
\nTurim Ib\u00e9ria Hotel
\nHoliday Inn Lisbon Continental
\nHotel 3K Barcelona
\nHotel Roma<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are\nseveral hotels near the \u201cSaldanha\u201d, \u201cPicoas\u201d and \u201cMarqu\u00eas de Pombal\u201d metro\nstops, and the yellow line goes directly to the university (\u201cCidade\nUniversit\u00e1ria\u201d or \u201cCampo Grande\u201d) as well \u2013 there seems to be cheaper options\naround these stops. Airbnb has become incredibly popular in Lisbon and there\nmay be very cheap\/pleasant options there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
