Call for Expressions of Interest

The University of Malta is interested in hosting researchers intending to submit an application for the call of Individual Fellowships in the framework of the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) programme.

The MSCA-Individual Fellowships grant usually covers two years’ salary, a mobility allowance, research costs and overheads for the host institution.

Individual candidates submit proposals for funding with the support and input of the UM supervisor and Research Support Services Directorate.

MSCA-IF Eligibility Criteria:

  • The candidate may be of any nationality
  • The candidate must be, at the date of the call deadline, in possession of a doctoral degree or has at least four years of full-time equivalent research experience
  • The candidate cannot have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of the beneficiary (Malta) for more than 12 months in the three years immediately before the call deadline
  • Only one proposal per candidate may be submitted to IF call

Potential candidates wishing to come to the University of Malta must contact the supervisors directly, whose project/s are of interest to you. Please send a cover letter and CV to the respective supervisor whilst keeping in copy with ‘MSCA-IF-2019 candidate name’ as the email subject.

Expressions of interest may be submitted up to Monday, 3rd of June 2019.
