This unit will explore the topics of Migration and Sustainable Development as interrelated issues from a Global Education perspective, whilst also exploring specific participatory educational methodologies promoting skills of questioning, reasoning and dialogue, particularly relevant to critically exploring controversial and complex issues in educational and community contexts. The course is specifically recommended for students hailing from the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Social Wellbeing, and students who wish to pursue a career in training and education.
Sessions for this course will be offered online on the 9th, 10th, 16th and 17th of September 2020, between 4.30pm – 6.30pm. Participants will be asked to prepare themselves in advance for some of the sessions by going through online materials provided by the course tutor (estimated time needed for self-study throughout the course is around 4 hours).
Time: 4.30pm - 6.30pm.
Week 1: Wednesday 9th September 2020 and Thursday 10th September 2020, Week 2: Wednesday 16th September 2020 and Thursday 17th September 2020.
