Study at your own pace

Application deadline to join PLAS courses is getting closer. Don't miss out on the opportunity.

The Programme in the Liberal Arts and Sciences (PLAS) [PDF] offered by the Centre for the Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) is an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development. It enables prospective students to follow ‘stand-alone’ units from a broad range of areas in the arts and sciences. In this way, students have the opportunity to study at their own pace and accumulate credits to achieve a Certificate, a Diploma, a Higher Diploma and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, without any limits of time.

Eighteen Units will be offered in Semester 2 of 2020/21, commencing in February 2021 and running until June 2021. PLAS Units consist of weekly evening lectures held between 18:00 and 20:00. The subjects covered include, geography, literature, psychology, art of winemaking, the art of public speaking, feminism, kitchen chemistry, nature photography, the biology of well-being and others.

Applicants are free to choose any and as many PLAS units as they wish. Visit the CLAS website to find all the information on the individual units and their fees.

Applications are now open till 5 February 2021.
