Focus and Scope

"Melita Theologica" (MT) is an scholarly peer-reviewed journal published biannually since 1947. It is published under the joint collaboration of the University of Malta’s Faculty of Theology, the Theology Students Association and the Foundation for Theological Studies of the Archdiocese of Malta.

Melita Theologica contains articles penned by academics on a range of topics that includes systematics, bioethics, biblical studies, spiritual and pastoral theology, liturgy and psychology.

At a time when different outlooks, new questions and contemporary concerns and challenges continue to bear on Christian theological thought, Melita Theologica looks forward to provide a forum for academic expression that would interest and stimulate scholars and theological students, the clergy and the informed laity.

The journal is characterised by an interdisciplinary approach, multiplicity of research perspectives and a broad reflection on philosophical and theological issues.

The journal accepts articles written in English that are evaluated by a peer-review process.
