Aquinas Lecture 

Għaqda Studenti tat-Teologija and the Faculty of Theology hold an annual public lecture in honour of Saint Thomas Aquinas. This year's Aquinas Lecture was given by Prof. Joseph Carola and focused on 'Making Patristics Pertinent: Theological Echoes and Anticipations from John Henry Newman's 1833 Mediterranean Tour'.

Faculty Celebrations

Three Faculty celebrations mark our annual calendar: the Faculty Day and two social events at the beginning and end of the academic year.

The upcoming end-of-year celebration for current students will be held on Tuesday 2 July 2019 at 19.00 at the University Chaplaincy. Past students of our Faculty are  invited to join us. Please register by filling the form.

International Conferences

Every year, our Faculty holds a two-day international conference in Malta. The theme of this year's conference, held between 10-11 May 2019, was 'Reconsidering Transcendence. Between Presence and Absence'.  

The Department of Philosophy is holding a conference on 'Engaging the Contemporary: The Philosophical Turn Towards Religion' between 7-8 November 2019 at the University of Malta (Valletta Campus).

Public Lectures

Throughout the year our Faculty invites local and external academics to deliver public lectures according to their expertise

Theology Research Seminars

The Department of Fundamental and Dogmatic Theology organises monthly research seminars open to students, staff and the general public. The seminars are held on a Tuesday afternoon from 16:00 to 17:00.

Women in Theology 

Close to International Women's Day, our Faculty celebrates the contribution of women in theology and society. This year's Women in Theology event was held on Thursday 7 March at the University Chapel.
