Master of Arts in Matrimonial Canon Law

Opening: October 2018
Duration: 6 semesters part-time (evening).
Mode of study: 2 years taught and 1 year research

The Master of Arts in Matrimonial Canon Law and Jurisprudence provides a specialised interdisciplinary course – theological, canonical, psychological, social – for the formation of professional personnel working in Church Tribunals and Civil Courts as well as in marriage-related services and in family ministry. It presents an in-depth study of Matrimonial Canon Law and Jurisprudence as well as canonical judicial processes, thereby better enabling the participants in their respective pastoral ministries and forensic professions.

This programme is mainly addressed to:
-    lawyers and other professionals engaged in marriage-related services;
-    members of staff of ecclesiastical tribunals;
-    counsellors, psychologists, family therapists and social workers;
-    laypersons and members of the clergy involved in family ministry
