Master of Arts in Youth Ministry

Opening: October 2018
Duration: 6-semester part-time (evening).
Mode of study: 2 years taught and 1 year research

The Master of Arts in Youth Ministry is intended to empower committed members of the Christian community, youth and other group leaders interested in engaging in youth ministry. The programme focuses on several related themes such as: the youth minister; sociological and psychological perspectives of youth; christian perspectives of the human person; youth work trends and culture; pastoral theology; professionalism and interagency approaches; pastoral counselling and catechesis; models and placements of youth ministry.

This programme is recommended for:
-    those involved in youth ministry or pastoral work in schools;
-    counsellors, psychologists and social workers;
-    group leaders, especially youth leaders;
-    committed lay persons and members of the clergy
