The S.Th.B. programme presents students with a systematic and comprehensive grasp of the philosophical background to theology, the sources of theology and the basic theological themes, namely sacred scripture, patrology, church history, fundamental and dogmatic theology, moral and spiritual theology, pastoral theology, liturgy and canon law which are so structured as to lead progressively to a fuller comprehension of the principal theological themes and their inter-relationship. Since the programme corresponds to the first cycle of philosophical-theological studies in accordance with the relative norms laid down for ecclesiastical recognition of theological degrees, it is intended to provide the intellectual formation of those preparing themselves for the priesthood, in line with Sapientia Christiana and other universal and local church documents on priestly formation.

Recommended for those:
-    wishing to have a systematic and comprehensive grasp of theology;
-    interested in engaging in evangelisation or pastoral ministry;
-    preparing for priestly ordination or religious life.
