Diploma in Religious Studies

Opening: every year
Duration: 2 years part-time (evening)

The Diploma in Religious Studies is intended to introduce students to philosophical discourse about the human person, the morality of human actions and the relationship between God and humanity. This programme also aims at enabling students to situate themselves within the Christian tradition, in relation to the other monotheistic religions.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theology

Opening: every year
Duration: 3 years full-time (day) / 5 years part-time (evening)

The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theology is intended to introduce students to a comprehensive study of the biblical sources of Christianity, as well as its history, and its doctrinal, ethical and pastoral aspects, including its relations to economics, politics, culture and biotechnology.    

This programme is recommended for those who wish:
-    to prepare for further specialised training in theology;
-    to teach religion at a secondary school level (MTL required);
-    to exercise certain forms of pastoral ministry and community work;
-    to relate faith with their own work, professional or social responsibilities.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theology with a Subsidiary Area

Opening: every year
Duration: 3 years full-time (day)

The Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theology with a Subsidiary Area is intended to offer students with a solid grounding in theology and an opportunity to bridge theology with another area of study (currently Physics, Philosophy or Mathematics).

This programme is designed to meet the academic requirements of those who wish:
-    to prepare for further specialised training in theology;
-    to teach religion at a secondary school level (MTL required);
-    to relate faith with professional or social concerns.

Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Human Studies

Opening: every year
Duration: 3 years full-time (day)

The Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Human Studies has a flexible structure to meet a variety of educational needs through the combination of theology with a number of areas of humanistic studies such as: anthropology, archeology, history, oriental studies, sociology, psychology, philosophy, communication studies, or a language subject).

This programme provides a solid base for those who wish:
-    to qualify as teachers of religion at a secondary school level (MTL required);
-    to prepare themselves for church or community-related work, including work in religious tourism.

Bachelor of Sacred Theology

Opening: every year
Duration: 5 years full-time (day)

The S.Th.B. programme presents students with a systematic and comprehensive grasp of the philosophical background to theology, the sources of theology and the basic theological themes, namely sacred scripture, patrology, church history, fundamental and dogmatic theology, moral and spiritual theology, pastoral theology, liturgy and canon law which are so structured as to lead progressively to a fuller comprehension of the principal theological themes and their inter-relationship. Since the programme corresponds to the first cycle of philosophical-theological studies in accordance with the relative norms laid down for ecclesiastical recognition of theological degrees, it is intended to provide the intellectual formation of those preparing themselves for the priesthood, in line with Sapientia Christiana and other universal and local church documents on priestly formation.

This programme is designed to meet the academic requirements of those:
-    wishing to have a systematic and comprehensive grasp of theology;
-    interested in engaging in evangelisation or pastoral ministry;
-    preparing for priestly ordination or religious life.
