Movie – Hidden Figures

This should come as no surprise, but we love Hidden Figures. It tells the story of three brilliant African American women whose math skills put NASA’s John Glenn in space.

TV – Rick and Morty

Do we need to say more?

YouTube Channel – PBS Space Time

PBS Space Time, hosted by Matthew O’Dowd. This channel takes a deeper look into the outer reaches of space, weird astrophysics, the possibilities of sci-fi, and anything else you can think of beyond Planet Earth.

Instagram – asapscience

A dose of fun and interesting science provided on a daily basis.

Music – Love

Love by Lana Del Rey is everything we hoped it would be. Known for her dreamy, vintage vibes, she doesn’t disappoint her loyal followers. But there seems to be a sense of perspective on this, a renewed sense of vigour, turning her coos into action.

Book – Silo Series

We couldn’t pick just one so we have a series of three by Hugh Howie. Wool, Dust, and Shift, known collectively as the Silo series, see humanity clinging to survival on a harsh, post-apocalyptic Earth. Their only hope is the Silo, a subterranean city extending one hundred forty-four stories beneath the surface.

Podcast – The Infinite Monkey Cage

The Infinite Monkey Cage with Brian Cox and Robin Ince. The BBC describes it as a ‘witty, irreverent look at the world through scientists’ eyes’, and we couldn’t have said it any better ourselves.
