Minted in 1976, to commemorate the tercentenary anniversary of the founding of the School of Anatomy and Surgeru. The obverse, as depicted, has recently been adopted as the seal of the University of Malta Medical School. The reverse depicts the coat-of-arms of the University of Malta and the inscription ATHENAEUM MELITENSE - MCMLXXVI.
