General notices and downloads

• Students are encouraged to consult the Student Handbook published by the Institute. This handbook is intended as a guide to support students during their studies and to enable them to approach their work in an effective way.

• Students are referred to the useful notices and forms available at the Administrative Information for Students page on the Registrar's homepage.

• Postgraduate students are advised to familiarise themselves with the Senate-approved Principles of Procedure on the Supervision of Masters' Dissertations and Doctoral Theses as well as with the supervision guidelines issued by the Institute.

• Students are advised to consult the webpages of the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), and to note the guidelines concerning all research involving human subjects carried out at the University, both by students and by members of staff.
  

• Students are required to complete and submit a signed Declaration of Authenticity when handing in a long essay, dissertation or thesis. Please note that this applies to all students, whether reading for a Diploma, Undergraduate degree or Postgraduate degree.

• Masters and PhD students are also required to complete a Submission of Dissertation/Thesis for Examination Form, which must be signed by their Principal Supervisor before submission.

• A signed Request for Approval of Human Subjects Research Form must be submitted in connection with long essays, dissertations or theses. Please note that this applies to all students, whether reading for a diploma, or undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Model consent forms, as required within section 3 of the above form, are also available for download in English and Maltese.
