Doctoral Research:
Claudia read for a PhD with the Open University (UK). The title is of her PhD is: 'The spiritual dimension of counselling and
psychotherapy: An exploratory study of the experience and perception of Maltese clinical and counselling psychologists and
psychotherapists'.

Other Work:
She works with the Department of Psychology and the Department of Counselling by acting a supervisor for students writing their
dissertation, acting as examiner, and lecturing a number of study-units. For a number of years, she was a member of the Board of
Studies for the Master in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice.

Since 2009, she has been working with Hospice (Malta) providing individual and group supervision to the Hospice Home Care
Team and the social work team. For a number of years she worked at the University Counselling Services providing psychotherapy
and counselling for University staff and students.

She provides psychotherapy with adults on a range of issues including: identity, anxiety, work-related concerns, intimacy,
self-esteem, depression, relationship and so on.

She provides supervision to social workers, counsellors and psychologists.

Awards:
She was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to follow her Masters degree in Counselling Psychology at the University of
Malta.


Affiliations & Membership:
She is currently a member of the Malta Chamber of Psychologists and is Council member. For a number of years, she sat on the
Council of the former Maltese Psychological Association as Secretary and Vice-President respectively.

She is currently a member of the Malta Psychology Profession Board (MPPB).

She is a member of the Maltese Association for Social Workers.

She was a member of the Maltese Association for the Counselling Profession and the British Association for Spirituality Studies.
