Dr Vella Heis currently a Clinical Genomics Trainee at Mater Dei Hospital and the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine in Manchester, UK.
He graduated in Physiotherapy (2007), Medicine and Surgery (2013) and read Master's Degrees in Family Medicine (2015) at the University of Malta and in Genomic Medicine and Healthcare at the University of South Wales.
He was elected student representative on Senate and appointed member on the Assessment Disciplinary Board for 2013 and 2014. Dr Vella was also an elected member of the Medical Association of Malta (MAM), the Malta College of Family Doctors (MCFD) and national representative in the European Union of General Practitioners (EUMO).
His areas of interest is service imlementation of clinical genomics.
